Acceptance of Terms

By using Cili Chinese ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Cili Chinese is a free, gamified Mandarin Chinese learning platform offering HSK 1-6 lessons, vocabulary tools, a dictionary, multiplayer quiz battles, and a leaderboard. Some features require a free account; Premium features require a paid subscription.

User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You may not share your account or let others access it
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or have parental consent

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use offensive, abusive, or inappropriate display names (names are filtered automatically)
  • Attempt to cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate leaderboard rankings
  • Harass, bully, or send unwanted communications to other users
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the App

Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled according to Lemon Squeezy's refund policy. Premium benefits include unlimited hearts, ad-free experience, and access to the full 120,000+ word dictionary.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and assets in Cili Chinese are the property of Cili Chinese or its licensors. HSK vocabulary lists are based on publicly available standards. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.

Disclaimer

Cili Chinese is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that learning outcomes will meet your expectations. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the HSK exam authority (Hanban/Confucius Institute).

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in cheating, or use abusive language. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
